The Abominable Snow Yak is the third kind of yak.
Appearance
The Abominable Snow Yak has a grey nose, grey horns and grey legs, with black claws. Its head is covered by a mop of shaggy white hair, which has two red and yellow ornaments hanging from it. Covering its body is a patterned piece of clothing which looks similar to a rug, consisting of sections coloured green, blue, purple, red, orange and yellow, with the green and orange sections having a yellow zig-zag patterns running across both.
Description
The third youngest yak ever to scale Everest without oxygen.
Requirements
- Sky Zoo upgraded to Mountains 3 or greater.
- Yak tamed.
- Ride past 800m in the Mountains.
Note: Its chance of appearing is medium due to it being a tier 3 animal. It will appear in just over half the runs the player does, but never before 800m.

- The Abominable Snow Yak was released in version 1.1.0 on the 26th of July 2016 along with Mountains and all other Mountains species.
- The Abominable Snow Yak is a play on the abominable snowman, also known as the yeti in the Himalayas.
- The description references the myths of the Abominable Snowman in that it lives in th Himalayas and it doesn’t require oxygen.
- The Baby Abominable Snow Yak's ability where rare animals appear 4% more often references how there have been alleged sightings of the Abominable Snowman but they have been rare.
