The Brontosaurus is the first brontosaurus.

Appearance[]

The Brontosaurus is notable as the largest base animal in the game, and is completely green. It has a thick, loosely humped body, with four short stubby legs attached to it, coloured mint green on the main part of its legs and progressively darker shades of green which act as its feet. Its neck can be seen to be long and bent forwards, connecting its relatively small head, featuring a protruding lower lip, to its body. Its tail is also extremely long, being similar in length to its neck, although it is thin and straight, ending at a point.

Description[]

Brontosaurus, meaning "Thunder Lizard" required a second brain to control its long tail.

Requirements[]

Baby Brontosaurus[]

Baby Brontosaurus
  • Ridden animals are 4% slower

Trivia[]

  • The Brontosaurus' appearance resembles the hypothesised appearance of a real life brontosaurus based on evidence of skeletons, however it was unlikely to be green in real life. Its colour in-game could be so to add some vibrancy in colour to make the game more visually appealing.
  • The description references the true information of "brontosaurus" meaning "thunder lizard", however it also contains a myth in that brontosauruses required a second brain to control its tail, which is likely to be untrue.[1]
  • The Baby Brontosaurus' ability plays on the in-game and real life brontosaurus' lack of speed, due to its mammoth size.

Notes[]

  • The Brontosaurus was released in version 1.8.0 on the 18th of May 2017, along with Jurassic and most Jurassic animals.
