The Grim Raptor is the eighth variety of raptor that can be seen in order of the zoo. It can be found in the stampede when the player upgrades their raptor habitat to level 9.
Appearance
The Grim Raptor is distinguished by its scythe, held in its left hand and angled to its right, with a grey blade and a brown handle, and its black cloak characterised by creatures of death, which covers the back of its head, its arms and its backside, and has a point at the back of the hood part and a zig-zag hem. What also distinguishes it in the stampede is its pixelated blue flames burning from its feet which streaks behind it. The Grim Raptor is coloured similarly to the Velociraptor, being only slightly lighter in body colour, and has black square eyes rather than regular eyes.

Requirements
- Space Zoo unlocked.
- Velociraptor tamed.
- Raptor habitat upgraded to level 9.
- Ride past 1800m in Jurassic.
Note: Its chance of appearing is extremely low due to it being a tier 5 animal. It will appear randomly but very rarely, and doesn't appear before 1800m.

Notes
- The Grim Raptor was released in version 1.8.0 on the 18th of May 2017, along with Jurassic and most Jurassic animals.
- The Grim Raptor is a play on the Grim Reaper, also known as Death, a representation of a personified force believed to lead the dead to afterlife or "reap" the living of life.
- The description plays on the role of the Grim Reaper of leading the dead to the afterlife while in turn referencing the mass extinction event which wiped out the dinosaurs 66,013,000 years ago, believed to have been caused by asteroid impact.
