Merino Sheep is the first sheep that can be befriended in the stampede, and likely to be the first animal that the player befriends in Outback.
The Merino Sheep can be described as a white squarish ball with a small head, coloured creme. The Merino Sheep has a brown square nose, two small ears, four small stubby legs with black hooves and a small roundish tail.
Introduced and bred for its finest quality wool. Population unknown; all accountants fall asleep.

The Merino Sheep was released in version 1.3.0 on the 13th of October 2016 along with Outback and all other Outback species.
The description references the history of the sheep's existence in Australia, and plays on the phrase 'counting sheep', which refers to how counting sheep is seen as a way to get to sleep.
The Baby Merino Sheep's ability references how sheep are tame and follow each other, hence being easy to herd and tame.
The description contains a punctuation error in that "it's" should not have an apostrophe.
This was corrected in version 1.17.0 on the 24th of May 2018.
