Behaviour Edit

  • Wild: Flying foxes mostly travel alone and fly ahead at a slow pace.
  • When ridden: Flying foxes move much the same as when wild, although at a faster pace.
  • When angry: Flying foxes make short swoops up and down, similarly to a vulture.

Tips Edit

Flying foxes, unlike other similar flying animals, do not give the bonus of earning extra money per crate smashed, making them less favourable in comparison to vultures, eagles, toucans or owls. Their small size, however, makes them capable of squeezing through small gaps and reduces the chance of the player dying. Despite this, when burned, they are unable to enter water, so they cannot be relied on as a long distance traveller past 2000m in Outback.

Habitat Upgrades Edit

  • Level 1 - 2x more flying foxes in the stampede
  • Level 2 - Ride for an extra 1s before a flying fox gets angry
  • Level 3 - Jumping from a flying fox temporarily increases lasso size by 20%
  • Level 4 - Gain 50% more ticket money from flying foxes
  • Level 5 - Burn slower while riding flying foxes
  • Level 6 - Ride for an extra 1s before a flying fox gets angry
  • Level 7 - Get bonus coins for swooping on a Flying Fox
  • Level 8 - 2x more rare flying foxes in the stampede
  • Level 9 - Add a new rare Flying Fox to the stampede (Flying Socks)

Notes Edit

  • Flying foxes were released in version 1.3.0 on the 13th of October 2016 along with Outback and all other Outback species.
  • The behaviour of flying foxes changed after update 1.5.0 in that rather than speeding up to and appearing from behind the player, the player now speeds up to a flying fox and the flying fox can be seen ahead of the player.
  • Flying foxes appear to be based on other flying mammals as well as flying foxes, most namely bats.
