Yak are the nineteenth species of animal in the Sky Zoo, as well as the fifth in Mountains. There are 9 different types of yak. They can be found from Mountains 3 onwards

Behaviour
- Wild: Yaks move slowly individually.
- When ridden: Yaks buck jerkily and at speed (increased at level 6) but can smash animals and trees, and later, anything.
- When angry: Yaks throw the player off with little obvious bucking or throwing movement.
Tips
Yaks are useful at high distances due to their ability to smash anything but brontosauruses (level 3) and their high speed, allowing the player to ride one for a long distance. To tame yaks, it is difficult at first, but once the player upgrades the habitat to level 3 it becomes much easier as the player does not have to avoid rocks anymore. In the Mountains particularly, they are useful for clearing narrow sections with a large proportion of obstacles.

- Level 2 - Ride an extra 2s before a yak gets angry
- Level 3 - Allows yaks to smash through rocks
- Level 4 - Gain 50% more ticket money from yaks
- Level 5 - Jump further from yaks
- Level 6 - Increased riding speed on yaks
- Level 7 - Get bonus coins by smashing obstacles on yaks
- Level 8 - 2x more rare yaks in the stampede
- Level 9 - Add a new rare Yak to the stampede (Afro Dizzy Yak)

- Yaks were released in version 1.1.0 on the 26th of July 2016 along with Mountains and all other Mountains species.
